SCMF's Design & Technical Development department works with architects, designers, artists and commercial clients to turn concepts, drawings and 3D models into practical fabrication solutions.

The service can include 3D modelling, fabrication drawings, design for manufacture, material development, prototyping, structural coordination and installation planning depending on the requirements of the project.

ROBERT FUNG — DESIGN DIRECTOR

Robert brings extensive experience in the technical development and delivery of complex sculptural and design-led projects.

Before joining SCMF, he spent more than a decade at Conrad Shawcross Studio, latterly as Head of Special Projects, working across technical design, complex fabrication, digital manufacturing and installation.

At SCMF, that experience sits directly alongside the workshop, allowing design decisions to be tested against how something will actually be manufactured.
